Project Management, Business Analysis and OCM : Deployment to Over 3,000 Users, internal and external to Client

The North American arm of a Fortune Global 100 company engaged CBC to act as the business representative in the project, driving the project management and business analysis. CBC was instrumental in the design and implementation of a new system that represented a first for the global client and brought customer and product insight to over 3,000 users across the North American community. By bringing only the resources to represent the business, CBC supported the client in managing the total project costs, keeping the knowledge of the resulting solution internal to their organization and fully engaging the Information System department in every step.

Using CBC approach for Organizational Change Management (OCM), process engineering and User Acceptance Testing, the client was able to gain the benefits of CBC expertise while adhering to their own internal implementation methodology. The addition of CBC OCM contributed to the system and processes meeting end user expectations and reducing the total time for adoption.

The project was the only named project on the company President's score card for that fiscal year and contributed to the overall core strategies for improved customer satisfaction. CBC's value and the program's success resulted in CBC resource involvement for both Phase 1 and Phase 2 over a 2 year effort.

Project Management: Multi-vendor project deployed to partner community of over 1,200 external groups

The North American arm of a Fortune Global 100 company engaged CBC to act on behalf of the business to manage the integration of the Client's systems with two external vendors. CBC provided the structure, approach and User Acceptance Testing strategy to successfully complete multiple integration points between all three parties, the two vendors and the Client's IT group. CBC resources' adaptation to the Client's business and appropriate level of structure allowed the Client to entrust this project component in whole to CBC, freeing up strategic resources to watch over the larger program and drive business requirements.

CBC's staffing model allowed the client to only contract for the time they needed from each resource and pay a competitive rate compared with resource capabilities. This helped keep overall project budgets lower than when compared to using larger, "name brand" consulting organizations. CBC's flexibility and resource experience reduced the total investment required for completion of the program. CBC resources played a functional role of Project Management, brining structure and organization to the effort, but leaving all the business knowledge with the actual client employees.

Process Re-engineering: Vendor and Invoice management for IT department

The global IT department for a Fortune 100 company engaged CBC to assist in the re-engineering of their vendor management and invoicing processes. With resources experienced in invoice, vendor management, and Sarbane Oxley (SOX) requirements, CBC built a team specific to the client's needs. A structured approach was implemented to assessing the current state, developing a future state and keeping the client's insights incorporated.

While most changes could be implemented within the department that sponsored the project, Legal and Purchasing were required to buy-in and adopt certain modifications to their processes to realize the most benefit. CBC developed strategies to assist the client with changes that went out side the sponsoring department.

Program Management : Multi-phase program to serve over 10 million customers

A specialized software company had their largest program to date being implemented to serve the customers of a Fortune 500 Company. The program had slipped on delivery, profitability and meeting business requirements. CBC was engaged to correct the direction of the overall program, implement the needed structure to keep the program on track going forward and bring the lessons learned as inputs to an internal initiative to improve future implementation program management for the software company.

Both the software company and the end Client realized their goals with the program as a result of CBC involvement. The lessons CBC contributed to the software company's internal implementation program management initiative were critical for the success of their subsequent program of a similar size.

Executive Dashboard : Privacy Dashboard for North American Chief Privacy Officer

The North American arm of a Fortune Global 100 company engaged CBC to measure the current state of all privacy across the internal enterprise, including employee, customer and partner information. With a structured appraoch to documenting the current state, CBC was able to identify opportuniteis for improvement, represent the current state on a dashboard report and recommend specific next steps to "move the needle" for each group.

As a result of the dashboard project, the client was able to identify five groups to work with for results in a 12 month period, realizing full ROI on the project in under 6 months through risk avoidance and process improvement.
